Beneficiaries have until February 28 to update payment details.
Tricare beneficiaries in the West Region, including Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin, who pay for coverage using electronic funds transfer, credit card, or debit card now have until February 28 to update their payment details with TriWest Healthcare Alliance—the new West Region contractor.
This is the second extension after the original December 31 deadline, followed by a January extension. It applies to those enrolled in Tricare Young Adult, Tricare Reserve Select, Tricare Retired Reserve, Tricare Prime, and Tricare Select. Beneficiaries using military pay allotments or enrolled in Tricare for Life, U.S. Family Health Plan, Tricare Overseas, or active-duty family plans are not affected.
The extension is the result of reported difficulties with TriWest’s online portal and long call center wait times. Failure to update payment information by the deadline may result in retroactive disenrollment to January 1.
